Position Description

We are seeking an experienced Engineer to support software and device updates, develop automation scripts, work with APIs and integrations, and troubleshoot software-related activities for medical-device systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support software and device update activities for medical-device systems.
  • Develop, modify, and maintain scripts to automate repetitive technical and operational tasks, primarily using Python or other scripting languages.
  • Work with REST APIs and system integrations to support communication between applications, software, and connected devices.
  • Troubleshoot software, application, API, connectivity, and data-flow issues using a structured problem-solving approach.
  • Analyze logs, error messages, and system behavior to identify potential root causes and support issue resolution.
  • Assist with software deployment, application updates, configuration, and related technical activities.
  • Investigate technical problems independently, implement solutions, and follow through until resolution.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve technical issues and support smooth software and device operations.
  • Learn and work with new tools, technologies, and integrated systems as required.

Education & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical discipline.
  • 1–2 years of experience in software development, scripting, automation, system integration, technical support, or a related technical role.

Required Skills

  • Hands-on knowledge of at least one programming or scripting language, preferably Python.
  • Basic understanding of REST APIs, HTTP/HTTPS protocols, JSON, and client-server communication.
  • Familiarity with API testing and debugging tools such as Postman or similar tools.
  • Ability to troubleshoot technical issues logically, analyze logs, identify potential root causes, and work towards resolution.
  • Experience automating repetitive tasks or developing scripts to improve operational efficiency.
  • Basic exposure to software deployment, application updates, configuration, or system integration activities.
  • Ability to understand technical requirements, investigate unfamiliar problems, and work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to explain a technical issue and the approach taken to resolve it.
  • Good written and spoken English communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly.
  • Strong learning attitude, curiosity, ownership, and willingness to work with new technologies.

Preferred Skills & Experience

  • Exposure to healthcare technology, medical devices, IoT, embedded systems, or other hardware-software integrated environments.
  • Experience working with connected devices, software update workflows, or application troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with debugging tools, log analysis, and diagnosing API or connectivity failures.
